An Abundance Of Tassels

Shirt - Cotton on, Jeans/Boots/Hat - Primark, Bag - H&M, Earrings - Topshop,
Ring/Bracelet - Market

I bought this shirt last year in Australia (where more shopping than sight-seeing took place) despite being unsure about it. It wasn't until a few months ago I realised how much I love it, it's easy to wear and style and basically, if you couldn't already tell, I wear it all the time.

Another obsession of mine at the moment (along with The Walking Dead - did you see last nights episode?!) is tassels. If it's got a tassel I am all over it - aside from the nipple type that is, my addiction doesn't stretch that far - so when I saw these boots in Primarni I knew I needed them in my life, along with those super cute Topshop earrings.

I also promise that there will be an outfit post that doesn't feature that hat in the near future. Ok, maybe I can't make that kind of commitment but I promise I'll try and that's what counts right... Right?!

Cosy Casuals

Jumper - New Look, Jeans - JayJays, Boots - Topshop, Bag - H&M (Available in store), Hat - Primark
Ring - Market
After falling off the face of the internet I have finally returned to my little blog and I solemnly vow to stick around. A brief overview of my time out includes finishing my first year of uni, spending six weeks in the Netherlands, becoming an auntie for the second time, two weeks of work experience and returning to uni. Aaaand breathe.

My first outfit back is so comfy and so cosy - the two requirements needed for all autumnal styling. I also cannot get enough of the hat, bag and those boots at the moment, they may have to be surgically removed if there is to be any variety in my future outfit posts.

#1: The Life & Lusts Of Liv

I'm currently going through a home ware craze, creating lists of all the things I want to buy (believe me, there's a lot) for a house I don't even own. But a girl can dream though, right?

You may be able to tell that I'm ever so slightly obsessed with elephants, so the pink planter and bust are must haves for me. I recently decided to brighten my place up a bit with some plants and succulents so the Ikea plant pots are perfect, not to mention a complete bargain. I love the ying yang candle set from Pretty Twisted too, such a cute idea!

Have you got any favourites?

Foodie Fun

A few weekends back I headed to Granary Square at Kings Cross for an afternoon filled with scrumptious food and cloudy skies and I thought I'd share a couple of my snaps. My choices pretty much consisted of junk food but I did consume a mojito ice lolly with a slice of lime - which totally counts as one of my five a day right? Whilst I tested (heavily) sugar-based treats my sister was a smidge healthier and gave Bell & Brisket a try with a salt beef bagel, no photo though as it was quite a messy experience .
I started with this amazing brownie from Batch Bakery, just look at that salted caramel oozing out. Super yummy and super soft too. It really doesn't get much better. I followed it up with that incredibly healthy ice lolly I mention which I like to think of as a palette cleanser (makes it sound far more sophisticated). Again, I was a bad blogger and failed to take a picture but I have no regrets, it was damn tasty and I just wanted to eat it.
I rounded up my afternoon with these bad boys. Five doughnuts rolled in vanilla sugar, doused with salted caramel sauce and topped with mini marshmallows - the ultimate sugar overdose. You Doughnut are the best in the business in my opinion, I would recommend Kerb Saturdays just for these alone - be careful though, the rota of vendors changes on a weekly basis so make sure you check ahead of time!
So there you have it, a little post filled with a lot of heart attack inducing snacks. If you're in the London area and are pondering how to fill your Saturday, have a little look at Kerb!

Brownies, Burgers & Barry

Earlier this week I headed to a concert at Wembley with my Mum and two sisters. Now I bet your thinking 'ooh what super cool artist did you see perform? Was it someone really young and current?', weeeell... no. I, a 20 year old student, spent my Wednesday night watching Barry Manilow. Yup that's right, he of Bermuda Triangle and Copacabana fame was hitting up London and fully prepared to serenade an arena full of OAP's. I may have been the youngest person there but it did not stop me from singing screaming along to all the hits, good ol' Bazza was flippin' amazing and hilarious to boot, even if he is slightly scary to look at (sorry Baz, love you really). But before all that excitement we had a day out and about in London.

First up we headed to Bill's in Covent Garden for an afternoon snack. My Mum and I both opted for this ridiculously scrummy brownie with hot sauce and ice cream, washing it down with a pink lemonade and ice cream float. It's such a lovely place full of quirky products to take home, next time I'm there I will definitely be getting a red teapot. Just try and stop me.
We had a nice stroll around Covent Garden, popping in to a few shops here and there, including the sweet shop Hope & Greenwood, where we bought a nice stash of old school sweeties. Said stash is looking considerably depleted at the mo', apparently I have no self restraint when it comes to sugar.
Jumper - Mink Pink, Jeans - JayJays, Jacket -Topshop, Bag - Zara, Rings - Pandora, The Silver Shop
Our last stop was Gourmet Burger Kitchen for dancing fuel. The food was delicious, so much so that I wolfed it all down before I could snap a picture - I know, I'm a terrible blogger - I would totally recommend it if your goal in life is to try out all the burger joints in London, like me.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend ahead of them,
